Dr. Eleftherios Pavlou has been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at CERTH–IMET, in the sector of Infrastructure and Networks, Sustainable Mobility and Freight Transport (Sector B), since November 2025. He is an experimental physicist with research experience in data analysis and the development of computational tools.
He is a graduate of the Department of Physics at the University of Ioannina (2011) and holds a Master’s degree in Atomic and Molecular Physics (2014). In 2025, he was awarded a PhD in Medical Physics by the Department of Medicine of the University of Ioannina. His doctoral thesis focused on the use of spectroscopic techniques, data analysis, and multivariate statistical analysis.
He has experience in Python programming for data processing, analysis, and modeling, using libraries such as NumPy, pandas, geopandas, SciPy, scikit-learn, and Matplotlib. He has worked in Linux environments and is familiar with automation tools, version control, and documentation workflows. In parallel, he has developed open-source scientific software, such as the PyFasma package, and has contributed to peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals.
