Areti Kotsi picture

Areti Kotsi was born in Thessaloniki in 1990 and has been working as a Research Associate at the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) since July 2017. She is a graduate of the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and in 2016 she acquired a M.Sc. in Design, Organization and Management of Transportation Systems from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). She fulfilled her internship in the company INFOTRIP S.A. – Intelligent Transport Systems and she has worked as a transportation engineering consultant for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

Her main research activity focuses on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and on Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS). Since joining HIT she has been involved in R&I projects related to ITS and C-ITS. Her main responsibilities are the definition and evaluation of ITS and C-ITS requirements and specifications, as well as the design of the systems architecture and the performance of Cost Benefit Analysis. She is also an author of announcements in national and international conferences.
