Mando Karvelli was born in Lemnos, graduated from the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia and holds an MBA diploma with specialization in Marketing from the University of Macedonia, Greece. She has strong experience in project management and implementation of Research and Development European projects and has effectively collaborated with important innovation and R&D stakeholders on both national and European level. She has been involved in proposal preparation and submission, planning, managing and implementing various European and national projects in the fields of creativity development and innovation support, knowledge management, exploitation of research results, entrepreneurship enhancement and cluster development. Among others she has conducted training seminars for business and academic organizations in strategic management, creativity development and business internationalisation. Since April 2018 she joined the Hellenic Institute of Transportation (HIT) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), bringing her knowledge and experience in financial management of EU funded projects and preparation and submission of project proposals.
