
Attila Akac was born in Pecs, Hungary in 1993. He is a graduate of the Department of Production Engineering & Management of Technical University of Crete (TUC) in Chania (integrated MSc) and member of the Technical Chamber of Greece. In addition to his studies, he successfully acquired a certificate as a trainer in soft skills and has delivered more than 100 hours of training sessions to attendees between ages of 17 to 25 years old. Furthermore, he is a member of a European Engineers NGO called BEST (Board of Students of Technology) and has organized plenty of local, regional and European courses/seminars and conferences.
Mr. Akac have specialized knowledge in discrete and multimodal simulation platforms in the field of production systems and supply chain. At the same time, he has completed an online MicroMasters program, powered by Massachusetts Technical Institute (MITx), on “Principles of Manufacturing”. Plus, he has acquired a Professional certificate on “Yellow Belt in Six Sigma & Lean Production Quality Production”, powered by the Technical University of Munich, and currently is participating in a Master program, powered by the University of West Attica, in Energy Systems Design & Optimization. Since July 2018 he is a member of CERTH/HIT as a Scientific Associate and specifically in Sector C with the objectives of Transport Economics - Environment - Non-land Transport with participation in several national, regional and EU research projects.
