Dr. Ioannis Mallidis holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Macedonia and a Master’s Degree in Combined Transport and Logistics from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, The Netherlands. He also holds a Doctoral diploma from the department of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki focusing on the application of quantitative methods on the strategic and tactical design of multi-echelon green supply chains which he completed under the framework of the "HERACLETOS II" fellowship.
He is a research fellow at the Freight transport and logistics Laboratory of the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the National Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), and also a lecturer on "Inventory and Supply Chain Management" at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has published more than fifteen (15) scientific papers on the development and application of quantitative methods in Operations and Supply Chain Management, in high peer reviewed journals such as the European Journal of Operations Research (EJOR), Transportation Research Part E, Annals of OR, Journal of Transport Geography and others achieving more than 510 citations based on the Scopus index (30/9/2019).
