H.I.T.’s headquarters and main buildings are in Thessaloniki, located within the capus of CERTH in Thessaloniki Technology Park.
The construction of the new offices of H.I.T. was concluded in 2009 comprising of 3 storeys and 2 underground laboratories and parking, fully equipped in order to cater its ever-growing requirements for staff and infrastructure. In 2017 CERTH/HIT decided to open a branch in Piraeus with emphasis on Maritime Transport Research; hosted at the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Georgiou Kasimati 1, Plateia Odissou, 18531 PIRAEUS), under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Energy in close collaboration with University of Piraeus and Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (Technological Education Institute of Piraeus).

In 2022, HIT opened a new branch in Ptolemaida, hosted at the premises of CPERI. The aim of HIT at this particular branch is the development of the Center of Excellence for Green Transportation (Passenger and Freight) and Electromobility, with the ultimate goal of enhancing Green Transition as well as the Smart Specialization of the Western Macedonia Region in these thematic areas, where the decarbonization poses new challenges and new development opportunities for technology, employment, and entrepreneurship.

H.I.T. also has premises in Athens since 2004.
