RISCitython Neapolis-Sykies 2022

The Municipality of Neapolis-Sykies and Hellenic Institute of Transport of CERTH are organizing and inviting you to the international event RIS Citython Neapolis-Sykies 2022 that will take place from Saturday, November 12, 2022, to Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the school complex of the 1st-5th Primary School of Sykies. Citython invites students and experts on sustainable urban mobility issues to present innovative solutions. Three teams with the most innovative solutions will be awarded 800 euros each.
RIS Citython is an international event in which participating teams work on the implementation of their ideas on urban mobility, from the conception phase to the presentation of their projects or prototypes within 24 hours. The Hackathon aims to improve urban mobility and context teams of experts and students in the fields of urban mobility, business, User Experience, Marketing, and Big Data work together to create innovative solutions for our cities. During the event, experienced mentors and speakers will support the teams. The highlight of the event is the 5-minute presentations, Q&A, and Evaluation of the teams by a panel of judges who will select the 3 winning teams.
Citython's goal is to analyze the mobility challenges facing our cities and to create viable solutions. Multidisciplinary teams, consisting of students and experts from different fields and specializations, compete to offer the city and its people innovative solutions to the identified challenges and needs. Through this open Hackathon, RISCitython focuses directly on supporting the business and innovation ecosystem in the Municipality of Neapolis-Sykies and throughout Thessaloniki.
RIS Citython is an opportunity to create a reference event in Europe that attracts the best talents, including students as well as company employees, and create the most innovative solutions
The event is part of the European Initiative for Innovation and Technology (EIT), an initiative funded by the European Union. Partners KAJO, CARNET (Future Mobility Research Hub), and Power HUB supports RIS Citython Neapolis-Sykies 2022 by the Municipality of Neapolis-Sykies and HIT/CERTH.
RISCitython Neapolis-Sykies 2022 will be held in the presence of experts who will support the work of the groups and experienced speakers who will share their knowledge on the issues of urban mobility and sustainability.
Your participation in the event is free. All you need to do to participate in RISCitython Neapolis-Sykies 2022 is to register by Sunday, November 6, 2022, and choose one of the three urban mobility challenges:
- Assist with safer access to places that attract children.
- Improve accessibility of the citizens to trial paths of the Seih Sou forest
- Increase usage of micromobility systems and enhance active mobility
