Vision:
To make HIT the main and integrated Research Pole in the fields of Transport, Sustainable Mobility and Tourism in Greece and among the top 10 relevant nodes of technology and expertise in Europe.

In the framework of the FENIX Project event, which took place yesterday, January 25, 2023, at Zappeio Megaro, the Director of HIT/CERTH Dr. E. Bekiaris signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for Transport, Mr. M. Papadopoulos, for the further exploitation of the Transport and Logistics Observatory, developed by HIT, in the framework of project FENIX.

 

The MoU was signed in the context of FENIX project event, co-organized by Dr. G. Ayfantopoulou, Research Director and Deputy Director of HIT/CERTH. The event was honored by the participation and speeches of the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, responsible for Transport issues, Mr. M. Papadopoulos, the Regional Governor of Attica, Mr. G. Patoulis and the President of Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, as well as the President of the National Supply Council, and Mr. A. Ziliaskopoulos, among others.

 

In his speech, Dr. E, Bekiaris offered special thanks to G. Ayfantopoulou and her team for the exceptional performance in the project. He also mentioned that through this project, we realized the European good practice of close and standing collaboration between the Ministry of Transport, relevant major governmental research performers and key private entities in the logistics sector; in order to achieve the digitalization and integration of multimodal logistics chains in Greece.
