The Transforming Transportation 2018 “Realizing Sustainable Mobility for All in the Digital Era” global forum took place in Washington, DC on January 11-12, 2018. The global forum, organized by the World Bank’s Transport and ICT Global Practice and the World Resources Institute, focused on how new technologies, ideas, and business models in the transport sector can ensure access for all to high-quality transport; improve systems efficiency; dramatically reduce injuries and fatalities from road-traffic crashes; and lower the environmental footprint of the sector. Prof. Boile was invited by the World Bank to speak at a Plenary Session titled: “Efficient Connectivity for a Brighter Future” and at a Session titled: “Green and Efficient Freight Connectivity to Cities".
