“Strong interest in research career, as well as in the future prospects in the field of transportation"
The opportunity to experience a special day had all those who visited the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT/ CERTH), on Sunday 5th November 2017, on the occasion of OPEN DAY for the young and the old.
The well attended event, which will now be an institution for the Institute (on the first Sunday of November), gave the opportunity to all the visitors to take a guided tour of the premises of the institute, to become aware of its work, to touch and to look closely at significant scientific and technological achievements, and to learn about the future of transportation.
The Director of HIT, Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris, gave a presentation on future professions and transportation, while many young people had a keen interest in relevant vocational guidance, as the president of the Hellenic Association of Researchers, Dr. Maria Konstantopoulou, gave a presentation on the profession of the researcher and its prospects.
In parallel, special emphasis was put on road safety, with a children’s theatrical performance, which raised awareness and entertained them, while memorabilia printed on site, using the 3D printers, were offered to them.
Undoubtedly, the Dynamic Driving Car Simulator and the Dynamic Driving Motorcycle Simulator, as well as the Electric Vehicles, presented by the researchers and the specialized scientific and technical staff of HIT, really impressed the visitors.
The next appointment for the OPEN DAY at HIT has been arranged for the first Sunday of November 2018.
