HIT: Road Safety awards

HIT/CERTH (The Hellenic Institute of Transport) is the main Greek and the most important and highly recognized pan-European research organization in the field of Transport. Since 2018 HIT has established an annual "The Best Road Safety Initiative» award. As described by the director of HIT/CERTH, Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris, the aim of the award is “To highlight the best practices to promote road safety so that they are applicable in the country".
The award is presented to units (Public, Private, Mixed-Legal bodies: services, companies, public and private schools, municipal and local authorities, Regions, social services, etc.), for relevant action that has been or is in process of implementation within the last 12 months from the application deadline. The award is presented for the second year in 2019 and the application deadline is on March, 31, 2019.
The interested applicants wishing to participate in their selection process for the annual "Best Road Safety Initiative" award are invited to submit their application through the form posted in the official website of HIT/CERTH (https://www.imet.gr/awards/drasi.php) until 31st of March 2019. The winners will be notified promptly and the prize will be awarded in autumn 2019 at a special ceremony.
