HIT/CERTH has participated in the LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS VI conference
On Tuesday, 5/2/2019, HIT/CERTH has participated in the LOGISTICS SOLUTIONS VI conference organized by the Supply Chain Institute with the scientific support of Planning S.A.. The conference took place for the first time in Northern Greece. The Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (HIT/CERTH), in an effort to contribute to this initiative, hosted one of the conference’s think tanks in its premises, on the 22nd of January, 2019.
The main focus of the SOLUTIONS VI was on the structure and needs of the Northern Greek market as well as the challenges that are faced. More than 100 representatives of leadings logistics and freight transport companies that operate in Northern Greece participated in the conference.
Dr. Georgia Aifadopoulou, the Deputy Director of HIT/CERTH, presented to the audience innovative solutions that will help Greek companies gaining a competitive advantage and responding to the rapidly changing global environment. Finally, she has emphasized the need to close the gap among research and business sector and start a close cooperation.
One of the innovative technological solutions, “Virtual Freight Center” that is being developed at HIT/CERTH within the framework of the WareM&O project, has been presented at the conference and received excellent reviews.
