THE DRIVERS OF TOMORROW MEET THE TECHNOLOGY OF TOMORROW
HIT / CERTH (The Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas) that directly reports to the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), of the Greek Ministry of Culture, Education and Religious Affairs, is the main research organization in the field of Transport in Greece, as well as one of the most important and recognized pan-European centers of technology and know-how.
On Thursday, February 28th, the students and teachers of the 1st Lyceum of Vasileiadis Schools has made an educational visit to the premises of HIT. The Director of the institute, Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris has introduced the activities of HIT in his presentation to both students and teachers, who participated in a discussion on the knowledge, required for a future driver, and they were also guided by HIT’s personnel to see the driving and motorcycle simulators.
During their four-hour visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in mobility, gained useful information, and participated in presentations of cutting-edge technologies.
Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris, the Director of HIT, emphasized that "similar visits give students the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in the field of sustainable mobility and to find where high and specialized technology meets people, the citizens and the driver of tomorrow."
