MEETING THE INNOVATION IN TECHNOLOGY
An educational visit of the students of Department of Mechanical Engineering of IEK Delta 360 ° was held on Thursday, 28th of March, at the premises of HIT/CERTH. During the visit was presented the Institute's research infrastructure related to the driver and the vehicle, vehicle simulators, electric cars as well as past research activities and virtual design unit and fast prototyping systems were presented.
The Director of HIT, Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris has emphasized the importance of similar visits for informing students about recent scientific developments related to sustainable mobility.
HIT / CERTH (the Hellenic Institute of Transport of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas), based in Thermi, Thessaloniki, is the main research organization in the field of Transport in Greece, as well as the most important and recognized Pan-European centre for technology and know-how, and reports directly to the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs.
