2nd (online) Round Table Meeting of the ‘SUSTOURISMO project

On Thursday, May 26th, 2021, HIT in collaboration with the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization - ΤΤΟ, organized on line the 2nd Round Table Meeting of the SUSTOURISMO project - Sustainable Tourism & Mobility Hand by Hand development '(https://sustourismo.adrioninterreg.eu ) funded by the Interreg ADRION 2014 - 2020 program.

The meeting was attended by key players from both the tourism and the transport sector, activating in the city of Thessaloniki (hoteliers, tour guides, transport operators). The purpose of the meeting was twofold. At first, the SUSTOURISMO application, developed in the framework of the project was presented and stakeholders shared their ideas for upgrading the app and the provided services, in view of the pilot testing period launch. Following the tourist packages that will be provided free of charge to Thessaloniki’s visitors were presented, as these were finalized through the respective collaborations between tourism operators and transport service providers of the city. The touristic packages and the SUSTOURISMO application will be tested during the summer tourist season, and are designed with an ultimate scope of promoting sustainable tourism through sustainable mobility in the city.
